Once Elon Must was just south of 10% ownership at Twitter (which made him the largest shareholder), he launched his takeover bid, which included a threat to dump his stake on the market and cause twitter shares to plummet, if his offer was rejected!
At the time, I held Twitter long dated out of the money calls that had a strike price of $64, which was far north of his offer of $54 a share! I was in the red already due to a tech rout. I do not know what happened to my calls thereafter.
I fear hostile takeovers.
