In 4 years time, the USD will still be the reserve currency.
There is no realistic chance of it losing it's mantle in the next decade. It would take another massive GFC, that particularly affected the USA, and another currency to be strong enough.
Yen certainly isnot.
Yuan isn't on the free market :P
The Euro has weak as countries.... for it to have any chance, Iceland, Poland, etc need to get their act together..... and Britain would need to join the Euro.
Gold won't ever be.
AUD/Canadian Dollar / etc, lol.
SDR... would take well over a decade to orchestrate. 2 decades?
I read a great article, sorry no link, that said if a very unlikely set of events all occured, there was a small chance that, in 20 years, the USD could be replaced as the worlds reserve currency... and I agree with that.
