Hi Tim,
My question is that the NTA is $1.95 whilst the price is $2.01. So since listing with a NTA of $2, the NTA has depreciated by 2.5%, whilst the price at $2.01 is a premium of 3.07%.
A decision to invest in NBI would be as a Fixed Income like security indicating a return of 5.25%, Given the movements in NTA and market price I basically have no idea of whether a return of the order of 5.25% is likely. If it's less than I would probably be better off investing in a term deposit paying a miserable 2.5+%, or otherwise going to FIIG and creating a direct portfolio.
I guess my question is with a LIT is the investor at the mercy of a premium or discount to NTA. If so with such a fine margin of error I would probably give NBI a miss.
