For those who like me are perhaps a little perplexed as to how 2 coal seams could just vanish in our well, yet be present 100M away, ... it appears that it does happen.
The following is a graphic from CXY who reported a coal JORC yesterday and it shows their coal seams. A couple of seams clearly just disappear for a distance of around 250m, whilst a couple of others rise to join with the seam above.
I'd say we were extremely unlucky.
I don't think we can be that unlucky twice.....
