Thanks for the thoughts Radgegadge....I have been thinking that the only logical explanation is the unwinding of foreign currency denominated commodities positions in Oil, Gold etc. leading to release of funds that are then put into dollar denominated cash or other "ïnvestments" in the US. But it must be a massive movement of capital underpinning this change in values.
