re your enquiry to adding 'Short' to the sentiment so you can indicate to other posters you are shorting the stock I suggest that the sentiment 'long term sell', 'short term sell' or 'sell' covers that sufficiently.
Your sentiment would tell other posters that you think the stock is a sell. Whether you have actually taken a position is not relevant unless you wish to disclose such in your posts.

I agree that traders make money both taking short positions as well as long positions in a stock are entitled to post their reasons as to why they have the sentiment or position they do.

Having your sentiment show simply as none tends to inflame those that are 'long' the stock because some see your posts as simply contrary and combative.

We manage to have reasonable discourse on the FX and xjo threads where posters have contrary positions so I am sure that with some consideration from all sides the same can happen on stocks.
