The waters to our west were (October / November) unusually cold. Coming good now. This is the reason for the awful weather we have been having.
The DMI which is used to measure the IOD has the Eastern zone component boxed area to our west on coordinates of 90' to 110' longitude and 0 to -10 latitude. Here are the ocean temps for that zone.
