Here on Darling Downs the drought is relentless with very little hope of rain. I see dozens of trucks on Warrego Hwy as cattle taken to mkt as no grass left in paddocks. Farmers are desperate. Not sure re S.NSW or WA but grain crop estimates have been downgraded a few times over past month in several regions as grain has failed to fill out.
GNC yr end due this week. I suspect it will disappoint Mr Mkt and all eyes will be on the 'outlook' statement. I can't see how decent earnings can return to GNC until we get substantial rainfall. Malting plant in USA will help but GNC remains primarily a grain storage/handling facility. Sp at 8.89. Sell.
