    bulldust! we have already helped farmers for the last 20 years to the tune of tens of billions in various aid packages.

    Farmers need to adapt. Unfortunately, adaptation is something they find incredibly difficult to do. Drought is not a natural disaster in Australia - it is part of the climate.

    The problem with farmers is that they build financial assistance into their business model so that when things go south, their whole operation relies upon getting subsidies to continue.
