Have a look through the immediate previous thread "Valuation - Adam JP" for a discussion on this. This point has been discussed numerous times for UOS over the last few years.
It seems to me that the DRP is a simple to operate mechanism for current holders to reinvest without having to chase parcels on market and to slightly increase their proportional holdings.
