What if the DRP reinvestment policy was for a Wilson LIC which trades at a premium? You would also be a fool to participate in a DRP at a premium to NTA, if it was calculated on the share price.

Every corporate action or dividend payout for every individual share you own should be reviewed individually. It’s simply best practice. My comment about ETF’s was the case is if you didn’t want the “overhead” of having to manage your own individual holdings, you are perhaps better served with ETF’s.
