Lumapole is a great idea, instead of having a sign made up of all these black panels, the pixels are fitted directly to the building facia, so during the day the building just looks normal, full light in, full vision out.
During the night the building turns into a video screen just like lumapanel, disadvantage of no daytime advertising, but come night-time it comes alive.
Imagine sitting on Scarborough beach listening to a concert watching the picture 5-10 storeys high on the full width of Observation City. Or sitting in Central Park at a live concert with the building over the road as the video screen. Perfect for lower positions visable from large parks or open spaces so the observers can be the requisite distance from the sign. Imagin the Sydney Harbour bridge with lumapole fitted, how many people would see that at night. (okay someone might object to that, but where's their imagination, better than that dumb disco ball)
