Thats a good way to compare. interesting points there is the huge difference between original covid strain and delta. Although that case would suggest massive numerical differences between lasts years transmissions and this years Delta. For some states like Vic and Nsw that might be the case but for other states, its not tge case. Which begs the Question, Why did both VIC and NSW let the virus run before they locked down partial area in the case of NSW and wholly in VIC. The other interesting questions are the huge differences between the 2 major states with regards to cases. NSW - LATE PARTIAL LOCKDOWNS VIC - FULL EARLIER LOCKDOWNS. But VIC much worse off !!!! Whats going on there? I wonder how the flu cases in 2020 and the original covid strain cases 2020 compare. Before Delta , which according to your post has an R - rating of 7 compared to 3 for original covid and 2 for the flu.
