If anyone can remember the questions being asked a few years ago this must be the answer.

When the original patent expires (as it has with melanotan II, or whatever it's being called now-days) anyone can make it and sell it.

Since everyone here dreams of getting rich from off-label sales of melanotan marketed by clinuvel to the huge suntan market, these entrepreneurs are merely living the dream without the added expense of doing their own trials (and let's face it, hasn't epitan/clinuvel being doing them, quite directionlessly, for quite some time).

Well, at least the directors have been getting their salaries, bonuses, and insider information... let's face it that's the only reason the biotech sector exists.
