A lady I have known most of my life . mid sixties , well educated seems to always tack her support to most seemingly worthy protest movements . When I last spoke to her she was all over the Palestine situation...except she wasn't. She trotted out the "river to the sea" line and mentioned Intifada as if it were a brand of washing powder . When I calmly asked a few questions about both she was struggling to make even a short sentence about them .totally lost for words. But nevertheless less her commitment to the cause was rock solid . Looking back at her other crusades it is obvious she is in desperate need to feel empathy for someone ..anyone ..just someone ..otherwise her world would be pointless. I resisted the urge to point out that it was too late her existence was already a waste of oxygen . Nothing to gain , never change her mind ..ever
And she has many, many mates
