I thought it was great that they updated shareholders, but in reading between the lines I liked these two pieces:

"Phylomers shown to deliver a range of therapeutic cargoes inside cells including toxins and the Janssen cargo"

This is a positive statement that they have "shown" to deliver...the Janssen cargo. But, also interesting is they included 'toxins' which as I understand it are primarily used in cancer treatments.

Commercially, how many cancer patients would prefer to have a treatment that is 25-50 times more effective in the delivery of the drug to target...? I'd say 100%. Not a bad market share / opportunity.

and

"Discussions are underway with Janssen to determine next steps beyond our existing two-year collaboration."

Whilst I'd prefer a headline that reads Janssen paid PYC a lot of $'s, the fact is they are discussing the next steps. So, what could the next step be? If we extrapolate the first point that they can deliver cargo more effectively and they have proved this to Janssen the next logical step could be clinical trials. IF PYC get to clinical trials, although they take years, the value could be significant for PYC.

The 'problem' as always is that it's PYC saying all this, and they have said it before, so ....would prefer independent validation = DEALS.

Exciting times for PYC as the science (once again) sounds 'game changing' and I look forward to seeing if the team can commercialise it. At least they have two years of cash to try - but hopefully it won't take that long...!!:-)
