Kis is the devil you know, but a devil none the less!

Air is 21% Oxygen & 78% Nitrogen.

The natural enemy of the Gas Turbine and the environmental license is NOx (ie NO2, NO3 etc. - with moisture it produces acid), which is produced in oxygen deficient combustion.

But then this can also be a feed for other things (eg fertilisers)

Agree with you that gas heating value > 5MJ/m3 should be fine in GT's.

I feel there is still much for CXY to tune, but IMO they are much closer than the others.

It makes sense for CXY to use air rather than oxygen. In powergen you are less technically and economically sensitive to syngas quality.
