As the saying goes make hay while the sun still shines.
They have thrown away a very good opportunity for a commodity that at the time was in very high demand in China. They got greedy - the mining boom was not going to last forever.
If Sino-Australian relations keep deteriorating at the rate that they do well then this share is worth about as much as the paper it is printed on.
