As it says on google, it requires all tailings to be filtered through a belt, disc or pressure filter and then transported by truck or conveyor to the storage area. Advantages are that you may not need a containment wall (lower capex), you get good water recovery and it is more stable than hydraulic tails placement. The disadvantages are that you have to filter all tails (high opex) and you have to transport it to storage area rather than pump it.
With a rainfall of 1000mm, water conservation is probably not an issue and, I suspect, that they will need some containment due to the rainfall, steep country and seismic issues. They could pump to the storage area and filter there which will reduce the requirement for transport or they could look at pulping/thickening which is a bit of a half way house.
