Opaline, Thank you for a most informative post.Do you have any knowledge of another resource with so many metals and in such concentrations? I have been intrigued by Wilgar ever since I saw Uranium marked on the map for this site.At that time I never anticipated how complex the mineralogy was for such a polymetallic area.

Whilst there is a way to go before the economics of mining Wilgar are proven, every new announcement is showing promise.In the meantime, the concerted drilling program is throwing up the great near surface gold results you refer to.

My question is would it usually follow that the gold would continue into the bedrock.

I would think that any future mining here is years away with first priority to the planned open cut mining of parts of Las Minerale and Rocklands South .
