    Its was silly for Cudeco to say that but you may wish to look at sales tax around the world on refined copper and import duties for that matter. Sales tax on refined copper in Australia is 20% I think, that and refinery cost in Australia is why Xstrata closed its doors at the Townsville refinery and now consider it financially better off to pay 4 times the freight to smelter it outside of the Isa as well.
