ore is DSO if: - you don't need to process it to get impurities out; AND - it is economical to ship it unprocessed.
If the iron ore price was very high and stayed there some ores may be reclassified from requiring beneficiation to being DSO, as long as the market price, and the customer's needs, made it economical to do so.
Some of PLV's ore is DSO. Some has impurities and will require beneficiation to remove them, and also yield a higher grade material.
See SFR. Some of their ore is such high grade that they propose to ship it as-is - DSO - without processing. They will need to find a customer will to take unprocessed ore.
