OMG!? Some left field stuff this weekend. Funnily enough I resolved last week that I should not expend any more energy into trying to work out why peeps do weird stuff.

I know that in HC land if you try to stop someone from walking in front of a bus they will get all antsy with you. That's why I haven't posted on stock threads for 5 years or more. But real life is not much different.

People seems to have very low levels of general knowledge these days and can't make rational judgements. Hard to imagine what it was like in the distant past or in countries with poor education. Like USA.

Easy money is very tempting. But how many peeps try to become 'card counters' in casinos etc? Not many. The whole computer, chart, ASX thing makes share trading seem very legit. But it's the same trap for those who don't know how the game is played not to mention the psychological pressures that cloud judgement.

I try not to think about it but the same rule applies to every aspect of life.

    Does keep things interesting tho.

Just re that Microsoft thing above. The poster should read 'Accidental Empires', a book about the big techs. Bill Gates was trying to sell a 'Typing Tutor' program to IBM and a series of mishaps and coincidences resulted in him selling the OS (that he didn't even write) to IBM for $30 a computer cos IBM thought they would sell maybe a thousand or so.
