Yeah I just don't get that. There used to be a time when if you applied for citizenship here, you had to give up your passports. Now it seems to have changed.

Permanent residents of Lebanon will have to pay their way here - Alexander Downer. What a crock. So they now flash an Australian passport. I guess the 10,000 plus crowd coming back here from Lebanon are all on the Australian welfare system, with the odd one or two exception?

I would rather give honest Lebanese who don't flash an Australian card refugee status; then those who play it both ways.
