I've been a shareholder over the past 4 years and similar to wiz I saw my investment deliver multiple unrealised bags. Some might argue that I was an idiot not selling at 30x revenue. I was. We were in a speculative bubble at that multiple.
I dont believe there has been any fundamental shift in 'CORE' business model/strategy over the past 12 months. What has happened is the cost of equity capital has become more expensive from an increase in the risk free rate. Long duration cashflows used to value a busines today have been heavilty penalised given this appreciation in the denominator. DUB now trades at 1.0x tangible book value. We can all agree here that it was overvalued at 44x tangible book value. At 1.0x investors are ascribing little value and likely assuming total failure. This valuation dynamic is further driven by a rising interest rate environment. Question which needs to be asked is. What happens if DUB does make it through and inflation subsides and interest in tech renews. It wont be trading at 36c that I can tell you. To make money you have to bet against the crowd. Smart money would be considering the opportunity now. I will continue to average down. DYOR.
