Generative AI is not going to save them because it's too expensive.

They already pay Microsoft Azure (after they shifted from IBM Watson) per second for each call they transcribe. And it seriously looks like they are losing money on every call just doing that, given that their losses only increase when their revenue increases.

Generative AI - whether from OpenAI or Azure or AWS or Google - costs per token and it would be ruinously expensive to do on every recorded call. Or if they try to run it themselves they'd be in for a ruinous AWS compute bill instead.

Maybe if they laid the foundations for this years ago rather than spending their capital raises on hookers and blow they'd be in a better position to capitalise on the generative AI boom. But now they've got no cash, no engineers, no strategy, and no hope.
