    This article in TheAge.com.au describes an ASIC investigation into property developer Paul Chiodo for miss-use of investor funds, in which Chiodo's passport was removed during the investigation.

    Mark Madaferri's legal partner was Cosimo Chiodo until Chiodo died in 2017, after which Madafferi traded as Christopher Williams Legal.

    Could there be a connection between Paul Chiodo, who ASIC is investigating, and Mark Madaferri's old law firm partner, Cosimo Chiodo? The resemblance isn't just in the name - ASIC is investigating both for miss-use of investor funds and passports have also been removed in both investigations.
