The transformation from fossil fuels for energy to renewables for energy was forecast to impact exiting systems by 2035 just 5 short years ago. Effectively that sort of projection evaporated in the last 2 years. It is now considered that in only 5 short years every developed country will have banned ICE and those that don't will struggle to keep anything but electric serviceable. In big finger painting terms, our sun will power our needs during each part of this spinning balls day, supplemented by other non solar energy (wind etc) Storage in battery form will be a 100 times more transformative than steam was on the industrial revolution. To remain ignorant of the effect that our incredibly small and massively under estimated supply side equation can, IMHO, only be put down to stupidity or some cerebral neglect. Cobalt is but one tiny part, albeit an important one and as irreplaceable as the very periodic table itself.

A period of transformation is about us, the ramifications of which are truly mind boggling, and we who are the right side of the turf will be lucky enough to witness it amazing and transformative impact.

Mind you Co or lucky 27 right now is 60% non storage in supply profile, in reality most of those other uses will struggle to compete with storage demands over the coming years, however all will pay more, we can be sure of that.

If you do not have some reasonable exposure to ethical cobalt, wherever that maybe, I believe you will live regret that position in time.

All IMHO, but in my defence I have been a student of man, markets and human adaptions for a very long time.

Perhaps a tad too much text for me here, but sometimes its good to vent a little, something to look back on, brickbats or bouquets in the fullness of time and all that.
