Having started this thread maybe I can conclude it...I was a very satisfied client of wotif since they started.... and on only two occasions I have had to complain...The first before listing...the customer service was A1...and after due investigation my full accommodation costs were reimbursed.(And the establishment disappeared from the wotif list) On this most recent experience it was not so much the "misleading information" on the website in relation to a fair and accurate rack rate for the concerned hotel but rather the very aggressive and brick wall response from customer service.It was as if the culture had changed completely. But that is fine I simply vote with my feet (or fingers really)!!...but customer service from my own experience must be number one on any business plan. Maybe I was unlucky.
