Virotec International Ltd (ASX/AIM: VTI) is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, Virotec EPT has entered into a five year retainer agreement commencing 1 June 2004 with Rhodia Parma Solutions, for the management and monitoring of part of the Rhodia waste treatment plant at the Dudley pharmaceutical facility located in north east England.
The minimum base remuneration is GBP £600,000 (approx AUD $1,500,000) which is to be paid in monthly installments with the provision for further negotiated services to be provided as and when required. Mr Brian Sheeran, Virotec’s Chairman and CEO states “This is the largest contract to date secured by Virotec EPT and we are confident that they will continue to deliver further contracts in this sector.”
Virotec acquired the EPT business in November 2003, to secure technical knowledge related to the UK wastewater industry. The Rhodia contract is industry recognition of this expertise.
Mr Sheeran adds, “Going forward, Virotec EPT has firm leads that should establish and value add Bauxsol™ technology and Bauxsol™ products within the wastewater and sludge management markets throughout the UK and Europe.”
