@mbot you need to understand why the scandium market is small. Scandium is not mined anywhere in the world as a primary product so the supply is not completely guaranteed and the price is too high for wide adoption. Bringing a lower cost, guaranteed supply to market will lead to an increased use across a wider range of industries. It's likely airline industry will use aluminium scandium but it has to be more cost effective and it will take time to re-design and re-tool plane manufacturing to suit adoption.
