It only takes one company announcement to change the fate of an exploration company. All indices in the US had stellar uplifts to close out their trading week which is ideal. Management if you are listening, Monday would be an ideal time to produce a solid announcement regarding the outcome of the due diligence period. I like announcements released on the first day of the trading week, as it enables a whole weeks trade to digest the announcement and enables a potential re rate opportunity, especially if the announcement is positive. Granted, it can also work the other way but you can’t hide from the results so if ain’t positive, it doesn’t matter what day you release the announcement on in my opinion.
With the markets being so volatile of late, I have been building a position here because man is pretty much valued at the cash on hand. To me, it is a low risk, high reward type of scenario. There aren’t too many junior explorers out there with our type of cash of hand at our market cap, especially in the copper space. With Roger acquiring stock back in April, I suspect the company will go ahead with the acquisition of the Chile project. We will have plenty of opportunities to drill and test the deposit without the fear of a looming capital raise which shouldn’t be underestimated in this type of market where raising capital in the near term is a dangerous place to be. Small cap share prices have been hammered lately and therefore large dilution events for explorers are incoming for those companies who missed the capital raising opportunity a few months back. A solid hold for the next 12 months in my view but once that drill starts spinning and results are released, I am expecting to double my money from here.
A geo friend of mine who works all over the world on early stage projects such as man recommended I take a look at the company due to the prospective nature of the copper acquisition. I held off building a position until I knew the fate of The Chile nationalisation debacle. With that behind us, I started to buy stock in small increments over the last month and a bit, I was mindful of June tax loss selling and conversion of the stock option holders who may look at taking profits to buy back in early July. This provided me with the ideal opportunity to average down and continue to pick up stock at very good prices in my opinion. No one can pick the bottom but I am ecstatic with my buy in prices, I always keep money in the take for June sales. Cheers, CP.
