from what i understand there is usually a formal duediligence job at the end no matter how much information changes hands. the lawyers check current legals and engineers and geologists summarise everything in a report. firb approval takes a month anyway based on other deals i have seen. if it is chinese then thier government approval seems to always come through a week or so after firb. even if fwl get a binding agreement it will be subject to all this stuff.
