Anyone know how deep Shabeel-1 is at this point in time?.
Have a feeling we are no where near T.D.
Conoco went down to 10,600ft---struck a high pressured zone at 7000 odd feet- 2200 metres. The icing on the cake may be around 9,500 to 10,500ft.
This of course is in a different basin [Nogal] and Shabeel-1 is in the Dharoor[spelling] but share similar geology.
Conoco's Nogal-1 was side-tracked three times due to high pressured zones--it would have been very difficult to have tested the well--my take was the testing equipment was inadequate.
This 'info' came from recovered Conoco's commitee minutes found in Puntland after their civil-unrest[war]ex-RRS--announcement 23rd Nov 2006.
Someone else with industry experience like to comment?
I first invested in RRS for the oil in Puntland--I believe it could be another Yemen.
All my opinion ---regards all --won't be long now.
