I've been around the fight game for while on and off and yes mundine is a total douche but this is just him selling a fight. He makes $$$ from the PPV revenue and the gate. The more people that build up animosity for him the more people tune in and the more cash he makes. whilst his PPV numbers are not spectacular he still banks a couple of Mil per fight in australia. His officlal purse (nevada state athlectic commission) for his last fight and first fight in las vegas was 30K only. add another 100k onto that and that is close to the actual figure, given locker room "bonuses"
actually Mundine's trash talk is amateur. weak. for real trash talk check out Chael Sonnen's tirades against anderson silva. Too many to link them all here. worth a look and you will get a laugh, particularly considering he said enough stuff to get 100 000 death threats by brazilians and they had to move his fight out of the country for his own safety. the fight did big numbers though: 1 million buys or there abouts.
Mundine's got a glass jaw and Geale hits hard. Geale by KO in the latter rounds.
