I follow Playside Studios on LinkedIn as I'm sure many others do. Interesting post, with Dumb Ways To Die becoming the number 1 downloaded app in the US and then the world. Quote I copy and pasted below, there are series of posts on it on their LinkedIn page.
"downloads of our original Dumb Ways to Die mobile game skyrocketed, until we scored the top spot on the iOS Store across the world!"
Believe this all started with a tiktok trend using the theme song that then flowed onto the app store.
I'm curious how long this can last and what sort of monetisation will come of it.
