I agree, gov unlikely to allow a takeover of WPL by a foreign company. Only Australian company big enough to have a go at Woodside is BHP. However, it has got its eye on RIO. Will probably take a few years to digest RIO if it goes ahead. Wouldn't surprise me to see BHP eventually have a tilt at Woodside acouple of years down the track given Woodside's LNG growth profile.
