There is also the view that by having and holding until the end of the exercise window you will make a good profit without outlaying current funds to the same extent.
Of course this view is predicated on the assumption that the coy will survive and eventually prosper, which by the by is my view.
This view also provides an entry at that time with a different capital gains outcome on realisation, a direct share buy now establishes a very low cost base as compared to options exercised at various higher prices.
