Actually that increase is less than recent inflation but around par for expected cpi in the year ahead as inflation abates. Although with the price rises that we have seen overall prices are around 17% higher than pre-pandemic levels. For oldies like me who have enjoyed high interest rates on savings and strong returns from the share market it's time to consider the next year or two investments. IMHO the high interest rates won't last much longer so my cohort will be looking to invest in riskier assets. Decisions decisions.
