Don't know why I am arguing with you. I normally agree with a lot of what you say, but if this fellow was such a great negotiator, I cannot see why he did not get how long to waive (drop) the condition of soliciting other suitors.
He rekons it will make no difference, but todays s/p tells another story.Anyway, my 2 cents worth, fwiw.
