Enjoying reading everyone's opinions. Not enjoying the situation we have found ourselves in with SDL.
Two questions for those people who care to hazard a guess.
Can anyone tell me why the Mining conventions/Permits have not been issued yet? It seems that SDL and the government have a focus of getting this project off the ground as soon as possible. The government seems to be holding up the mining permits/conventions until funding is secured...or so we have been led to believe..... This is what I don't understand. Would it not have been simple enough to put a clause into the mining convention to say that it had been issued on the proviso that development was funded and started within a prescribed amount of time.
Why is Hanlong considered to a have some sort of a blocking stake when they only hold 20% of the company....officially?
For what it is worth I think we will see a JV deal with a Chinese steel mill once the conventions are signed.
