Dutch Govt Reduce Production At Groningen Field

As a result of ongoing earthquakes the Dutch Govt has decided to reduce gas production from the Groningen gas field. The field is in the top 10 in the world. Will have a big impact on the supply of gas into Western Europe especially during winter.

Production is now planned to drop by 50% from peak winter levels. Production during the cold winter 2 years ago was 54 bcm. Now it will be capped at 30 bcm

As the guy in the article says where will they get the extra 24 bcm of gas from???

Everyone can stick their heads in the sand when there is plenty of gas. They may have just lost that option.
