Duterte - 'America has lost', aligns Philippines with China

Duterte was elected by a big margin because of the way he cleaned up his city as mayor.
Duterte aligns  the Philippines with China and has signed a deal for a few billion usd for infrastructure with the Chinese.
How will the US react to this?
At least Duterte is taking action to make the Philippines a better place, he is getting a ship load of money from the Chinese. How will this all play out, well things probably cound not have gotten any worse than they were in the Philippines?

Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has announced his "separation" from the United States, declaring it had "lost" and that he had realigned with China as the two agreed to resolve their South China Sea dispute through talks.

"America has lost now," Mr Duterte told Chinese and Philippine businesspeople in Beijing's Great Hall of the People, in a forum attended by Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli.
