According to him incomplete and in many cases non-existent British records and the fact that many civilians died outside camps.
As for the Turks, they should definitely pay for the Australian help in destroying the Ottoman empire, and paving the way for chaos in the Middle East. I am sure a bit of research would justify payments from Koreans, Vietmanese, Iraquis, Afghans and Syrians.
