tbf that comes across as ideological, possibly even partisan. every energy producer feeds into the grid. there are local transformers set up to manage the flow around the grid. I'm no electrician so I'm happy to be corrected, but I read it like plumbing a large city. numerous continuous flows required to cover baseline drawing at different times of day. keeping the system pressure in balance is the aim. allowing more inflow at one point and reducing at another and so forth.
nuclear energy presents no issue for the grid from this image as the demand for energy may indicate where such a nuke might be situated.
