E.g. Loy Yang.
Loy Yang has a 35gl per year water allocation. Post the planned 2035 power station AGL has publicly stated that they will continue to use that water to fill the mine as part of the mine restoration . All the way out to 2060.
So . No water for nukes.
AGL also has plans for a large battery at the Loy Yang site. The grid connection is also going to be used for the Gippsland Offshore wind projects that are much larger than Loy Yang.
" We’ve now identified a study area and connection hub area that starts approximately 6 km from the coast near Giffard and travels northwest past Stradbroke West to Willung, across to Flynns Creek and then to the Loy Yang Power Station. "
