I think he's a just a policy fence sitter who leans to the side of the biggest audience, at any one point in time.
Hawke might have been his father figure, but when it comes to staying power I don't see any legacy there. Nice bloke socially and good for a fun ruckus.
I'd like to see more of what Jason Clare has to say and how he says it.
