It's weeks since many thousands of "NO!" pamphlets packed full of racist lies and disinformation were circulated throughout Australia. Media reports inform us they never even carried authorization.
Earlier this week the official "NO" and "YES" cases have appeared on the AEC's website. Though the AEC did NOT 'fact check' them others have now done so and their findings have been published and conveyed to political leaders.
For the "NO" camp the verdict of fact checking analysis is a sobering one!
Despite that I've not heard of any media report that Peter Dutton has publicly dissociated himself from either the pamphlet MSM have reported as being circulated by a far right wing activist or the speculative misinformation and disinformation which characterises the official "NO" case:
The Conclusion by fact checkers:
" None of these sites are neutral sources of information. They are operated by the same conservative group, Advance, which is working with companies that appear to specialise in conservative Christian campaigning, including a US-headquartered marketing and fundraising firm that aims to help Christian nonprofit ministries “fulfill their mission”. There are links between the no campaign and the failed conservative push to defeat the marriage equality postal survey in 2017.
