It's interesting to see that one of the most compelling arguements for the "voice" is missing.

One just needs to ask who already has a voice to Government apart from the general population as individuals? Well, there are the various lobby groups and lobbyists, then there are those that can pay to have the ear of the Government of the day at fund raisers and events, and those that are in the circles within which the various ministers and members of Government mix. So why would those that already have the ear of Governments want to have a rival for a Government's ear, well, they wouldn't now would they? They already have everything they want in that reagard.

So is it any surprise that the Party that gave us Robodebt don't want to have the voices of people on the ground heard? Well for a start they have a tin ear on ethical issues and just want to conserve their privileged position in society even though the price is high others outside of their circle as has been the case especially during the years under Abbott and Morrison, who's legacies have been nothing short appalling. Bad enough that Dutton and his goons actually get airtime but for them to use it in such a divisive manor and not see the upside is staggering. But hey, we all know they ain't that bright, after all that Party made Abbott P.M. and then to prove it wasn't a one off brain snap they made Morrison P.M.

The Liberal Party are off the rails. Mores the pity, but it looks like they are well and truly passed their use by date.
