Thanks for your reply, even though I don't agree with all of your post it was good of you to cover so much groud.

Firstly, I don't believe small Government is good Goverment, we should just strive for good Government, Labor is saying some of the right things but all is in the execution and we know that's where most Government come undone.

But let me leave that aside for a moment. My late father, bless him, was a very generous soul but when it came to politics he was very anti Labor, to him socialist and communists were the same and yet he was glad to have a Pension and be covered by our Universal Health Care. My point is we should take the best of ideas and leave aside all the not so good ones, which I think on the whole we do well regardless of some of the absolute dropkicks we have sadly had sit in our Parliament, and yeah, all system get corrupted over time without checks and balances. So I reckon there we are on the same page there.

Back to the "Voice". Call me a cynic if you like but it seems no matter what the intent of laws and interventions Governments put in place that relate to First Nations Peoples, we seem to be told we get it wrong, so I say let the first nations people have their "voice" to Parliament and own their own decision making. As has been shown already they are a divided as the general population. I think much has been tried over the years with mixed results, so why shouldn't they have a say in what affects them just as we should all have our say and do with varying degrees of influence.

As to the politics and Dutton, both sides of politics are dragging this out needlessly. Labor want's to have the Coalition back themselves in the corner of irrelevance over the "Voice" and the Liberals don't want to talk about how they had a leader that says he had a calling to be P.M. and then screwed up nearly everything he had anything to do with. It's not like Dutton is going to say god spoke to Morrison to tell him he had to be P.M. and the point of god putting Morrison in as P.M. was to show the country what putting a serial liar and master of F**kwittery meant for the general population and that the people of Cook didn't get the memo. So the ongoing "voice" discourse in the public arena has been a lifeline for Dutton who's sole focus is not to have the Party do itself more harm while putting out on open display the vacuous and duplicitous nature of his leadership. But hey, it's not like he's the only one sitting in our Parliament that adds no real value for their involvement, those that hold that distiction aren't just risticted to one side of the house.

I'll leave my rant there, I'd didn't mean to write such a long post, but there you go.
